Refund Policy

1. Purpose

At Redmont House, our goal is to build long-term relationships based on transparency, professionalism, and trust. We strive to provide every client with high-quality IT consulting services tailored to their unique business objectives and technical requirements.

Because every consulting engagement involves professional expertise, strategic analysis, planning, and time dedicated specifically to a client's project, our refund policy differs from policies commonly used for physical goods or subscription-based software.

This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be available and how refund requests are handled.

2. Scope of Services

This policy applies to all consulting services provided by Redmont House, including but not limited to:

  • IT Architecture Consulting

  • Software Architecture Reviews

  • Enterprise Architecture Consulting

  • High-Load System Design

  • Distributed Systems Consulting

  • Scalability Assessments

  • Cloud Architecture Consulting

  • Infrastructure Planning

  • Technology Strategy

  • Technical Advisory Services

  • Architecture Documentation

  • Performance Optimization Consulting

  • Engineering Consulting

  • Custom Technical Consulting Engagements

Every engagement is unique and may vary in scope, duration, deliverables, and pricing.

3. Service Agreements

Before work begins, the scope of services, pricing, deliverables, estimated timelines, and payment terms may be discussed and agreed upon between Redmont House and the client.

Some projects may also be governed by a separate written agreement, proposal, or statement of work ("SOW"). If a separate agreement exists, its refund terms will take precedence over this policy where applicable.

4. Payment Terms

Payments may be required:

  • Before services begin;

  • According to project milestones;

  • Upon completion of agreed deliverables; or

  • Under another mutually agreed payment schedule.

Invoices should be paid according to the agreed payment terms.

Failure to make timely payments may result in delays, suspension of services, or termination of the engagement.

5. Refund Eligibility

Refund requests are reviewed individually and in good faith.

A refund may be considered in circumstances such as:

  • The project has been canceled before any consulting work has started.

  • A payment was submitted accidentally or duplicated.

  • A billing or processing error occurred.

  • The Company is unable to begin the agreed services.

  • Both parties mutually agree to terminate the engagement before work begins.

Submitting a refund request does not automatically guarantee approval.

6. Non-Refundable Services

Due to the nature of professional consulting, payments are generally non-refundable after work has begun.

This includes situations where:

  • Discovery meetings have been conducted.

  • Technical consultations have taken place.

  • Architecture reviews have started.

  • Research or technical analysis has been performed.

  • Engineering recommendations have been prepared.

  • Technical documentation has been created.

  • Solution designs have been developed.

  • Technical planning sessions have occurred.

  • Infrastructure assessments have been completed.

  • Architecture diagrams have been produced.

  • Deliverables have been shared with the client.

Professional consulting consists primarily of knowledge, analysis, and expert recommendations, which cannot be returned after delivery.

7. Client Cancellation

Clients may cancel a consulting engagement at any time by providing written notice.

If cancellation occurs before work has started, the client may be eligible for a full refund, less any applicable payment processing fees where permitted by law.

If work has already begun, Redmont House reserves the right to retain payment for services performed prior to cancellation.

Any remaining balance, if applicable, may be refunded at the Company's discretion.

8. Company Cancellation

In rare circumstances, Redmont House may cancel or decline an engagement before work begins.

Examples include:

  • Inability to provide the requested services.

  • Conflicts of interest.

  • Unforeseen operational circumstances.

  • Incorrect project information provided during onboarding.

If the Company cancels an engagement before work begins, any payments received for services not yet performed will generally be refunded.

9. Client Satisfaction

We believe successful consulting engagements depend on communication and collaboration.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our services, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible.

Whenever reasonable, we will work with you to understand your concerns and explore appropriate solutions, which may include:

  • Additional clarification;

  • Follow-up consultation;

  • Review of recommendations;

  • Revision of agreed deliverables where appropriate;

  • Other mutually acceptable resolutions.

Our objective is to resolve concerns professionally before considering financial remedies.

10. Changes to Project Scope

Consulting projects frequently evolve as business requirements change.

If the scope of work changes after an engagement begins, pricing, timelines, and deliverables may also change.

Additional services requested beyond the original scope may require separate approval and additional fees.

Changes to project scope do not automatically create eligibility for refunds.

11. Delays

Project schedules may depend on timely communication and cooperation from both parties.

Delays caused by the client—including delayed responses, unavailable personnel, missing technical information, or postponed meetings—do not qualify for refunds.

Reasonable project schedule adjustments may be made when necessary.

12. Force Majeure

Redmont House shall not be responsible for delays or inability to perform services caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Internet outages

  • Power failures

  • Government actions

  • Cybersecurity incidents

  • Labor disruptions

  • Other unforeseen events

Such circumstances do not automatically entitle the client to a refund.

13. Chargebacks

If you experience any issue regarding billing or our services, we ask that you contact us before initiating a chargeback through your financial institution.

We are committed to resolving disputes professionally and efficiently whenever possible.

Initiating an unwarranted chargeback after consulting services have been delivered may delay resolution while supporting documentation is provided to the payment processor.

14. Processing Approved Refunds

If a refund is approved, it will generally be issued using the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.

Depending on your payment provider or financial institution, processing times may vary.

Most approved refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days, although some financial institutions may require additional processing time.

15. Taxes and Fees

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, payment processing fees, banking fees, currency conversion fees, taxes, or other third-party charges may not be refundable.

16. Policy Updates

Redmont House may update this Refund Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, business practices, or legal requirements.

The most current version will always be available on this website.

Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
